Loved making this beautiful cake. Vanilla sponge filled with “dulce de leche”, frosted with vanilla buttercream. Finished with a sugar cookie chalet decorated with sugar paste and royal icing. Sugar paste snowflake stars and Christmas trees give the final touch.

I was asked to make a cake with neutral colors and gold accents.
For the occasion, I created this mini 4" inch flower cake with a watercolor effect and buttercream flowers in shades of golden yellow, ecru, and rusty orange.
I made a combination of roses, hydrangeas, and wild flowers and arranged them in two clusters on top of the cake. On the sides of the cake I used a watercolor technique to create some texture and piped some petals and dots in contrasting colors.
This is a chocolate cake, filled with “dulce de leche”. The frosting is vanilla buttercream.

I made the flowers on this cake with wafer paper and sugar paste. The small torn petal roses add texture to the bouquet. The large wafer paper open ranunculus is the star of the cake.
