A Classic Blue Baby Shower Cake with a Personalized Sailboat Detail

For this baby shower cake, I made a tall buttercream cake in ivory and powder blue, finished with layers of vintage-inspired piping.

The most personal element was the sailboat topper. Inspired by the artwork on the baby shower invitation, I recreated the sailboat in coordinating soft blue, ivory and muted green tones. It became the finishing detail that connected the cake to the rest of the celebration.

The result was a classic vintage buttercream cake that felt timeless on its own, but distinctly personal to this baby shower.
