Happy New Year

Wishing you all a safe and happy New Year with these mini sugar cookie houses.

I think if we can all agree on one thing, it’s that coming out of 2020 we have all learned to appreciate more, and not take the simple pleasures in life for granted. Let’s hope 2021 is the year of being grateful.

I can't wait to bring more joy and celebration to your lives in 2021.

Gingerbread house jar village

A classic gingerbread house is a sweet way to warm your winter decoration. An entire village, however, takes the edible art concept to new artistic heights.

Gingerbread bites

These mini Gingerbread Cookie Bites are one perfectly poppable Christmas cookie treat! Great for gifting, topping cupcakes or desserts, garnishing Christmas cocktails, or for just popping in your mouth as a smaller Christmas cookie treat.

Brush Stroke Macarons

In addition to creating a new flavor, I also experimented with painting these macarons with a dash of edible paint. It can really make a difference in the look of the cookies.

The macarons by itself were looking great, but I still wanted a bit more color and fun, so I decided to paint them with a brush, to give a blush pink brush stroke on top of the macaron shell. I love the effect.

They were perfectly crunchy, chewy, with the slight salty sweet caramel notes from the buttercream frosting and piece of caramel sandwiched in the center.
