Italian Market Mini Cakes for Summer Birthdays

Just ridiculously photogenic!
I designed this set of mini cakes for a birthday party inspired by an Italian produce market; tomatoes, cherries, lemons, and blueberries each got their moment along the strawberry two-tier cake.

Custom cake set inspired by an Italian market birthday party, featuring four mini cakes with tomato, cherry, blueberry, and lemon. Decorated with hand-piped vintage buttercream details by Rose Vanilla in Fairfax, Virginia.

Each cake is decorated in vintage buttercream piping with seasonal fruits that nod to Italy’s rich produce culture:

• Blueberry – deep blue accents and floral piping
• Cherry – playful red drapes and buttercream buttons
• Lemon – bright, citrus tones with ruffled edges
• Tomato – bold and unexpected, inspired by garden-to-table charm

They’re small in size, bold in attitude, and a nod to the beauty of fruit and frosting done right.
