A Vintage-Inspired Baptism Cake in Soft Blue

There is something especially beautiful about creating a cake for a baptism. For Jack’s celebration, I wanted the design to feel delicate and traditional, but still have the intricate buttercream details that are such a big part of my style.

This baptism cake was finished in powder blue with ivory buttercream piping. I layered ruffles, scalloped garlands, delicate borders, and small ornamental details around the cake to give it an elegant, vintage-inspired look.

Tiny pearl crosses were incorporated into the design, including one at the front of the cake, while “God Bless Jack” was piped by hand across the top for a simple personalized touch.

I especially love the combination of pale blue and ivory for baptism and christening cakes. It feels classic without being overly formal, and the monochromatic palette allows all of the piping details to stand out.

Each of my buttercream cakes is individually designed, so elements like the colors, piping style, personalized message, and decorative details can be adapted for a baptism, christening, First Communion, or other special celebration.
