In a Field of Strawberries

Some designs are loud in their own gentle way, no glitter, no candles, no over-the-top theatrics. Just confident piping, vintage flair, and a little fruit couture.

Four strawberry mini cakes in pink tones with vintage buttercream piping on white cake stands.

Each one tells a slightly different version of the same sweet story: sugared berries, piped petals, and unapologetic pink. They were made for a first birthday, but they looked like they belonged on a picnic blanket with strawberry shortcake dolls and heart-shaped sunglasses.

I love working on custom sets like this, where no two cakes are exactly the same, but they all speak the same sassy language. A shared tone, different expressions. There’s something about mixing strawberries with that silky pink and retro piping that just feels timeless, in the most playful way.

And honestly? I’d make this set again in a heartbeat. Maybe for another birthday. Maybe for no reason at all. Because these were joy in cake form. And maybe, if you squint a little, they looked like they were about to giggle.
